Booger support

Practical help for pairing, nearby family sync, local data removal, and App Store purchases. Avoid private family or health information in support email and screenshots.

Sync with a family member cannot find the other device

  1. Keep both devices nearby, unlocked, and with Booger open.
  2. Confirm Bluetooth is enabled for Booger on both devices and camera permission is available on the joining device.
  3. Leave the invitation visible on the existing device.
  4. On the joining device, use Restart nearby search if offered.
  5. If the invitation expired, cancel both flows and create a new one. Do not reuse an old QR screenshot.

Pairing is complete only when both devices say they have the same care log. Stop and report an indefinitely spinning search, mismatched code, lost entry, duplicate entry, or false completed-sync claim.

Family sync looks out of date

Open Booger on both paired devices and tap Try syncing now. Nearby background exchange can be delayed by iOS, Bluetooth state, force-quit, power-saving behaviour, or device lock.

The Family sync screen lists each directly synced device separately. Last synced is the time this device last completed an exchange with that named device; it does not confirm every family device has the newest records. An entry saved on one device remains there when another device is unavailable.

Remove a family's local copy

Open Family → Remove this family's local copy and confirm. This removes the family's saved data from that device. It cannot contact or erase other offline devices. Repeat the removal on every paired device if all copies must be removed.

Deleting and reinstalling Booger does not restore a surviving family key: family access is bound to the original app installation. Apple's Offload App feature is different and intentionally preserves app data. For the clearest deletion result, use Booger's in-app removal control before deleting the app.

Lost or no-longer-trusted device

Booger has no account, remote wipe, or remote device-revocation service. Moving a device to Past devices only changes the current sync summary; it does not revoke family access.

  1. Use Apple's Lost Mode or remote erase if available.
  2. Turn off Booger's Bluetooth permission on the remaining devices to stop nearby exchange while deciding what to do.
  3. Remove the existing family's local copy from every remaining device.
  4. Create a new family and pair only devices you still trust before recording more information.

Existing history is not automatically moved into the new family. Do not resume recording sensitive information into the old family if a former device must no longer receive it.

Purchase or restore does not complete

Purchases and restores are handled by Apple and require an internet connection to the App Store. Confirm the device is signed in to the intended Apple Account and check connectivity. During the active trial, tap the trial status on the Care screen; after it expires, attempt a new entry. Use Purchase Now—which includes Apple's displayed local price when available—to buy, or Restore purchase on the same screen. A purchase can be made during or after the three-day free-access period; existing records remain readable without purchasing.

Medical help

Booger cannot assess symptoms or medicine safety. Use the medicine label and advice from an appropriate pharmacist or clinician. For urgent or emergency help, contact the relevant local medical or emergency service; do not rely on Booger or its reminders.
